Activites
The Limousin is a land of upland pastures, forestry and pure water, springing from the region itself or just a little higher in the Massif Central.
Waterfalls, springs and fountains, rivers and streams, flow into the Loire or south into the Garonne, irrigating the green fields and flowing through woodland and gorges...
Cycling/Walking
For all levels and disciplines this area is ideal with many well marked paths close to the apartment. Due to the low population density there are acres of forests and fields to cycle through and kilometres of roads where often the only traffic is a tractor, another cyclist or an escaped cow or two! A choice of bicycles are available for your use, free of charge. Your host has prepared a series of walks commencing from the apartment, and there are also detailed maps and guidelines available for walks further a field.
Attractions
During the summer months there are a whole host of Brocantes (antique fairs) and festivals.
The following are some of the attractions that can be reached by car in less than an hour. For more information see appropriate internet websites.
Also with the Limousin region are the towns of Aubusson and Tulle famous for their tapestries and accordions.
