Chatelus Le Marcheix is approximately 3km away with a beautiful 35 hectare lake, beach (safe bathing for children) with pedalos and a kiosk serving ices in the summer months, auberge, bar (both serving food), small shop. pharmacy, hairdressers, post office, tourist office, and library with internet access.
There are picnic tables within the forest overlooking the lake and a walk through the woods brings you to the local church in the centre of the village.
You can go to the park, go fishing, go horse riding and go canoeing etc. An annual fete takes place over a weekend around mid August with lots events including a brocante (antique/bric-a-brac stalls) fun fair, disco and a wonderful firework display at the lake.
